Forty-five minutes are allotted for the foreign language test. The format and number of tasks are calculated in such a way that this time is quite sufficient for successful completion of the test.
What level of English is required for EVI?
The EVI program is based on the Pan-European recommendations for language education, which determine the level of English proficiency at the B1-B2 levels. Both NMT/VET and EVI are oriented specifically at these levels. It is important to remember that there are no "Writing" and "Listening" sections on the EVI, so the evaluation system is slightly different. What is the EVI passing score in English?
To pass the threshold on the foreign language test, it is enough to score 5 points out of the maximum possible 30.
How many questions are there on the English EVI test?
The test contains 30 questions, each worth 1 point: 11 reading questions (tasks 1 and 2) and 19 language use questions (task 3 and 4).
What do you need to know in English at EVI?
The test contains two parts: Reading and Use of English. Thus, a single entrance exam tests reading skills as well as vocabulary knowledge and grammar of the language. Authentic texts on various topics are usually offered, where there is an acceptable percentage of unfamiliar words that can be understood from the context.
